Game Time It was time. The boys were heading down to the field to get warmed up. They had the music playing and were all dancing and getting pumped up to smash West Point, their homecoming challenge. It was time for kickoff and the boys lined up. As soon as the ball was in the air, it was a hundred and ten percent effort from there on out. The boys completely just demolished West Point on both sides of the ball. They were all yelling and screaming and getting fired up like never before. By the end of the game all the young kids were getting to play because the score was way out of hand. The final seconds ticked off the clock and everybody was screaming and yelling. The final score was 56-7. The boys rang the victory bell and headed to locker room to hear what coach had to say. "The effort and passion to play the game of football this week at practice and tonight in the game was unbelievable. You seniors decided to bounce back from a mistake you made and you accepted the consequences like men. I am proud of all of you and wouldn't ask for a different team whether it be state champions or not because what you showed tonight is a characteristic that is hard to find in young people and that is the drive, the will ,the passion, and the strength that it takes to accomplish the goals that you set your mind too. The coolest part is that not just one of you did it but every single person on this team did it and you all worked together. That is something special. Now that this game is over though lets carry this energy and passion to the rest of the season become district champions for the first time in school history." |
