The Big Talk The boys all got together on Sunday and talked among themselves about what to do with this whole situation. They found out from Steve that they weren't going to be suspended for homecoming week, so that was good news. After hearing that they came to conclusion that they couldn't hurt the team anymore in any way and put the season at risk. It was their senior year and they didn't want to ruin it anymore. It killed them all that they had to miss a football game already because after high school most of them will never play football again. This is the last chance many of them will get to play the sport they love. They all decided to make their senior homecoming one they will never forget. They promised to each other that they would work hard everyday in practice during the week so that they could put on a show for the home crowd. Many people come to the homecoming game and the boys were not going to disappoint them. They finally realized that their actions can hurt a lot of other people and affect things in a big way. This was a good life lesson and they all agreed that they had learned their lesson and will move forward and talk to younger students about not doing what they did. They all made promises to each other that they would give everything they had this week at practice and in the big game on friday. They all went on their way and did what ever they had planned that day. Not a single one of them stopped thinking about what they had to do in the coming week to make up for their mistake and show people they were truly sorry and are a good, hard working group of kids. |
